Relationship History

Requirements of the Couple

The time of engagement is an important time to prepare for your marriage. Besides planning your ceremony, you will be required to participate in pre-marital counseling sessions with the Pastor officiating at your wedding. These sessions will help you to gain a better understanding of yourself, your spouse and prepare you for your upcoming marriage.
Wellspring Community Church requires that every couple desiring to be married by a Wellspring Community Church pastor agree to the following:
1. Complete pre-marital counseling sessions. (Pre-Marital Counseling Material cost is $75.00 and you will pay that directly to SYMBIS)
2. It is recommended that you live apart (if possible) and abstain from premarital sex until after the wedding. We believe this is what would please God based on scripture. We believe these matters are important enough to the future of your marriage to make them requirements for a Pastor from Wellspring to officiate your upcoming wedding. However, even if you decide not to make this commitment and pursue a different wedding officiant, we strongly hope that you will continue seeking pre-marital counseling to learn more about God’s design for a lifelong, satisfying marriage.
3. Your officiating pastor will want to meet with you in advance to discuss the details of your rehearsal and ceremony. This appointment should be set up directly with the pastor or the ministry assistant.
If rehearsal is required, the rehearsal will be conducted by the officiating pastor in coordination with your wedding director. The rehearsal requires 30 minutes of instruction and practice. Therefore, punctuality is critical for all participants in the ceremony. This time period does not allow for full rehearsal of music (although it does allow for a run-through of any music in conjunction with the ceremony). Musicians should plan to rehearse prior to or following the ceremony rehearsal.
4. If you desire your officiating pastor to be in any wedding photos, please schedule these for a session following the ceremony. Typically, your pastor will arrive thirty minutes prior to the wedding, so photos before the ceremony will not be possible.

Ceremony Fee is $300.00. (Any Location)
